I ordered some custom made HT leads on Wednesday, today's Friday and they arrived! How's that for service. Fantastic quality. These leads are made up to my measurements and with the correct boots on each end. More importantly they have the correct wording on the leads to keep the IVA man happy regarding electromagnetic interference; EMI. I had a number of colours to choose from, I went for blue. They have even numbered the HT leads to correspond with the cylinder numbers for me at both ends. It's Friday night had a long day at work but couldn't resist getting these on the car. This company came recommended from the WSCC forum they can be reached at http://www.performanceleads.co.uk/
See photo below. As you can see I have been able to route the HT leads in a more consistent and tidier manor.

My Westfield build is going to be published in Complete Kit Car magazine. The full feature will be published in Complete Kit Car magazine December 2009 issue which is out now! This morning was spent in photo shoot with the car. Some stunning photographs were taken. Below is just one of the photographs taken by Ian Stent.

Session 317 - Catalytic convertors
Made the journey to JP exhausts today with the Westfield on a trailer. Not a short journey at 140miles. Got up at 04:30! left by 05:15 and arrived at JP Exhausts at 08:45. The remit was to fabricate a new Y-section which will incorporate not one but two catalytic convertors, one per bank. Left the car with them and asked them to call me when done. In the meantime we, my son and I explored the local areas, Macclefield, Congleton and Buxton. One of the WSCC members suggested that we went up the cat and fiddle towards Buxton. Wow, what a road, known as death road apparently. Nice winding road going up into the edge of the Peak district (I think?) and some climbs, lots of cliff edges, sheep and stone walls. Actually reminded me of Wales. Got a telephone call from JP Exhausts around 15:00hrs. Cats had eaten into the ground clearance somewhat, I think I will need to tweak up the springs again. The engine note has changed, it sounds a little more muffled and deeper. I can feel the difference immediately in the throttle response. Actually makes the car a little easier to handle at slow speeds when driving onto the trailer! I expect I could collect the vapour out of the exhaust into a glass and drink, erm mayvbe give that a miss.
This is the end of the spend on the build. The only items remaining being a couple of small jobs, see my whats left section.
