Session 69 -Front dampers and springs
I cannot believe it is April already! Building progress has slowed done a bit at the moment, mainly because the need to purchase costly items to get to the rolling chassis stage. Anyway I ordered both front dampers and springs, aka shockers. I received these today and very nice they are, just like the rear ones in that they are both height and damper rate adjustable. The springs are epoxy coated black, I wanted yellow but Westfield didn't have those in stock, actually I think a blessing in disguise, as I now think black will look better anyway.
I use the term fitted loosely. Only took me 15 minutes to fit, well four bolts, four nuts and sixteen washers is not that taxing to fit is it?

Went up to Stoneleigh kit car show! Wow lots of stalls and cars. Good place to get ideas. I actually did not spend much money can you believe! I only bought a few bolts and some convoluted tubing, in fact I spent more money on food!
Oh I almost forgot I also picked up my Rose-joint conversion kit for the upper wish bone, i.e. to replace the transit ball joint with a rose joint. This provides easier adjustment and better suspension geometry. Only cost £25. Here's a picture of the kit which came with instructions and a guide to what rose joints and sleeves to install.
I did also order some parts on line, Some nice Raceleda Discs and Calipers, pictures to follow when I receive.
Okay I didn't eat that much!
